Description

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build hands-on experience, learn the HVAC trade and develop a long-term career in the industry.

You do not need to be a certified HVAC technician for this position.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and some experience or exposure to HVAC, construction, plumbing, electrical, mechanical work, or a related trade.

You will work alongside experienced HVAC installers and technicians, gaining practical experience on residential projects.

🔧 What You’ll Do
•⁠ ⁠Assist HVAC installers and technicians with residential installation projects
•⁠ ⁠Help with the installation of air conditioners and heat pumps
•⁠ ⁠Assist with water heater, humidifier, water softener and RO installations
•⁠ ⁠Assist with thermostats, low-voltage wiring and connections
•⁠ ⁠Help prepare materials, tools and equipment for installations
•⁠ ⁠Load, unload and organize tools and installation materials
•⁠ ⁠Assist with equipment positioning, mounting and installation tasks
•⁠ ⁠Maintain a clean and safe work area
•⁠ ⁠Follow instructions from the lead installer and work as part of the installation team
•⁠ ⁠Help ensure jobs are completed efficiently and professionally
•⁠ ⁠Assist with cleanup and final preparation after each installation

👷 Who We’re Looking For
You may be a good fit if you have:
•⁠ ⁠Some experience in HVAC, construction, plumbing, electrical, mechanical work or a related industry
•⁠ ⁠Current or previous apprenticeship experience in HVAC or another related trade
•⁠ ⁠Basic understanding of hand and power tools
•⁠ ⁠Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
•⁠ ⁠Strong work ethic and reliability
•⁠ ⁠Ability to work physically and comfortably on residential installation sites
•⁠ ⁠Positive attitude and willingness to follow instructions
•⁠ ⁠Good teamwork and communication skills
•⁠ ⁠Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence is an asset

📋 Subcontractor Requirements
For this Helper position, you do not need:
❌ HVAC certification
❌ Gasfitter certification

The subcontracting arrangement and requirements will be discussed with successful candidates based on the nature of the work and applicable requirements.

💰 Compensation
Per-job / project-based compensation, paid biweekly.
Compensation will depend on the type and scope of work and the helper’s experience and responsibilities.

As you gain experience and develop your skills, there may be opportunities to take on greater responsibilities and advance within our installation team.
